July 8 Gesu Parish Couple’s Group Promotes Retrouvaille

July 8, 2018 11:47 pm

Joel and Karen Angouand, Coordinators of Gesu Catholic Church’s Couple’s Group (and participants in our April 2018 Parish Marriage Missionaries Level 1 Formation Weekend) invited Wadi and Jackie Barreto, who are the Regional Coordinators of Retrouvaille, to their parish to help spread the word about Retrouvaille. Wadi and Jackie attended our first August 2017 PMM Formation Weekend and helped us run the April 2018 weekend!

The pastor of Gesu, Rev. Eduardo Alvarez, SJ., welcomed Wadi and Jackie to share information about the ministry at the end of mass.

Retrovaille is one of the best programs we have in the Catholic Church for couples who are struggling in their marriage (but you do not have to be struggling to attend)! I copied information from Retrouvaille’s website below.

Thank you to the Angouands and the Barretos who both do so much to strengthen the vocation of marriage!

Notice that Joel is holding one of our new backpacks with our Missionary Marriage Logo. Stay tuned for information about when these will be available online for purchase.

For more information about Gesu’s couple’s group, please contact Joel and Karen at kaynjoel0725@gmail.com or (305) 519-0788.

From the Angouands: “Thank you to the Barreto family for coming to our parish, Gesu, to share information about this great resource for couples: Retrouvaille. Great marriages just don’t happen, Retrouvaille can help.”

Please help spread the word about Retrouvaille.

The next Miami program is coming up soon: The weekend of October 26, 2018.

The Retrouvaille Program is for Married Couples Facing Difficult Challenges in their Relationship

  • A Marriage program that helps couples restore their marriage and rebuild a loving relationship.
  • A Christian marriage program, Catholic in origin, where couples of all faiths or no faith background are encouraged to attend.
  • Primarily a practical program to improve communication, build stronger marriages, and help couples reconnect.
  • Presenters are not trained marriage counselors, but rather couples sharing their personal stories of marital struggles and the tools they used to rediscover their love.
