Pre-Advent Married Couples Retreat

November 18, 2018 6:45 pm

Annunciation Ministries ran a Pre-Advent Married Couples Retreat for couples from throughout the Archdiocese. We offered two Advent Reflections (on Spiritual Practices, Confession, prayer, how to pray with Scripture, and some teaching on some of St. Ignatius of Loyola’s Rules for Discernment of Spirits), Adoration, time for Confession and personal prayer, dinner and then resources for Advent prayer individually, as a couple, and as a family.

We are very grateful to Fr. Vigoa for his inspiring reflections and hearing Confessions and to the married couples who attended. It was a gift to share in this day of spiritual formation for married couples. Join our mailing list to be informed of future events such as this.

Some comments from participants:

“Love these events because there is nothing else in our parish that helps focus/prepare you for the season. It furthers our continuing education and helps us create a plan for changes in our life and family. It’s a good amount of time because it’s not a whole unit of study, not a passing lecture. It’s enough to learn, experience, reflect, and apply but not overwhelming or too brief.”

“Thank you so much for providing the retreat and for the follow up. You guys are great!

“I love the retreat and Fr. Vigoa’s guidance and reflections were beautiful and very touching. The availability for confession was very important to me as well.”

“Thank you [Annunciation Ministries] as always it was a beautiful and a well planned retreat!”

“We loved it and think it would be great for every parish!”
